Decrypt Files Using FileArmour
To decrypt files using FileArmour, launch the application and select the decryption tab.
1. What does the decryption tab look like?

The decryption tab consists of the following panes (refer to the screen shot above):

  1. Decryption queue where all files to be decrypted are queued.
  2. Status pane where status messages like number of files in the decryption queue, error notifications etc. are displayed.

2. How do I add files to the decryption queue?
To add files to the decryption queue, click on “Add Files to Decryption Queue” button, browse to the desired folder and select the files to be added. Only encrypted files can be added to the queue for decryption.
The files that you have added will now appear in the queue.
3. How do I remove files from the decryption queue?
Files that have been added to the decryption queue can be removed in any one of the following ways:
    I. To remove all files i.e. to empty the decryption queue, right click in the decryption queue and select “Remove All Files” in the context menu.
II. Alternatively, click on “Remove All Files from Queue” button to empty the decryption queue.
III. To remove a subset of files contained in the decryption queue, select the files that you want to remove, right click in the decryption queue and select “Remove Selected Files” in the context menu.
IV. Alternatively, select the files that you want to remove and click on “Remove Selected Files from Queue” button.
At any point in time, the number of files contained in the decryption queue is displayed in the status pane.
4. How do I decrypt files?
To decrypt files contained in the decryption queue, click on “Decrypt Files in Queue” button. Alternatively, select “Decrypt Files” in the decryption queue context menu.
When you click on “Decrypt Files”, you will be shown a decryption parameters window. This is similar to the encryption parameters window that is displayed at the time of encryption.
To decrypt files, you will need to enter two passwords and select the algorithm to be used. The passwords and the algorithm that you specify here should match exactly what you had entered at the time of encryption. Please note that passwords are case sensitive. In the decryption parameters window, you can also change the default output folder where the decrypted files are saved and indicate if you want the encrypted files to be deleted after decryption. The default values for algorithm, output folder and delete encrypted file checkbox shown in the decryption parameters window can be specified in the settings tab.

After you commence decryption, you will be shown a progress window.
Each decryption operation is logged by the application. After decryption completes, you can view the status of each file that was decrypted in the logs pane.
You can export the logs by clicking on “Export Logs” button.
